Tomorrow night from 7-10pm Woody’s @ City Market will host a Big Boss Tap Invasion pouring 10 & 16 oz draughts and flights of:
- Angry Angel Kölsch (“B” rating on Beeradvoacate.com)
- Bad Penny Brown Ale (“B” rating on Beeradvoacate.com)
- Helle’s Belle Belgian Blonde (“B” rating on Beeradvoacate.com)
- Blanco Diablo (“B” rating on Beeradvoacate.com)
- Aces & Ates Coffee Stout (“A-” rating on Beeradvoacate.com)
- Big Operator Belgian Black Raspberry Stout (“A-” rating on Beeradvoacate.com)
Big Boss and Woody’s have teamed up to offer a specialty cask ale of High Roller IPA also available in either 10 ($3.50) or 16 ($4.50) oz pours.
Woody’s extraordinary wings will also be on special for 25 cents a piece (minimum order of 10). Be sure to come out early to try all the beer and specials before they run out!
As an added bonus, NC State plays North Carolina starting at 9pm so get some delicious local beer, wings and enjoy the game and friendly atmosphere! See you there!

Mark your calendars folks, Woody’s is at it again, on Wednesday, February 23rd from 7-10pm, they will be featuring the renowned Raleigh Brewery Big Boss Brewing. Big Boss will be invading 5 taps and include a specialty surprise cask ale. Featured beers include:

And a To Be Announced Specialty Cask Ale…
All Big Boss beers will be $3.50, and on top of this crazy deal, Woody’s will provide 25 cent wings, and $3.50 sample flights from their wall of over 20 taps (including sample flights of all Big Boss beers!). Don’t forget, Woody’s @ City Market will be hosting a Great Divide Tap takeover tomorrow night at 7pm featuring 9 of their Beers:
- Claymore Scotch Ale
- Hades Belgian Ale
- Titan IPA, Hercules Double IPA
- Hoss Rye Lager
- Old Ruffian Barleywine
- Smoked Baltic Porter
- Wild Raspberry Ale
- Belgica
- Oak Aged Yeti
These beers are super rare and will not be found anywhere else on tap in The Triangle. Representatives from Tryon Distributing as well as Global Distributors who distribute Great Divide Products to the wholesale market.
There will be tons of Give-Aways, schwag, and 25 cent wings, so be sure to get the early as these beers will not last long!

Next Tuesday, January 11th will be a Beerburglar Meetup at Woody’s Sports Tavern. They will have 35 cent wings all night and $3 imports.
Some of their noteworthy bottled beers include: the New Belgium Frambozen Raspberry Brown Ale, Samuel Adams Winter Lager and the Big Boss Helle’s Belle. On draught you can enjoy some classics like Fat Tire, UFO, Red Oak and Sweetwater 420 to name a few. Safe travels, and I hope to see you all out there!

Hello fellow Beerburglars, I just got this email from the owner of Woody’s. If you like Bell’s Brewery out of Kalamazoo Michigan (and I know I do) you’ve got to try this Firkin (cask) ale for only $3.50 a flight! We will also be doing the regular 25 cent wings and $3.50 flights. Hope to see you there!
“Hey Everyone, Just wanted to send out a reminder to all and hope you will post and pass on the info. Tomorrow night, Wed. 11/17/10, Woody’s will be tapping their first Firkin. It will be a Bells Two Hearted Ale. We will be tapping the Firkin at 7pm and would like to encourage everyone to come out and join us.(I am even missing the Hurricanes game for this one). As this is a Beer Burglar night any one who comes out and lets the staff know they are there for the Firkin Beer Burglar Meetup will be able to take advantage of the Burglar special, $3.50 Flights and .25 cent wings. Also here is advance notice that I hope you will all post and pass on. We will be holding a double meetup in Dec. Because of the Holidays we will combine the Tri Beer Meetup group with the Beer Burglar Meetup night and Highland Brewing will be Taking Over The Taps!!. On Wed. Dec 8th we will be tapping 9 different styles from Highland including Black Mocha Stout, Cold Mountain Winter Ale and 15th Anniversary Auld Ashville Vintage Ale. Come out to Woody’s next Wednesday (11/3/10) between 7pm-10pm to sample this rare beer. Left Hand Brewing Company only brews it once a year, so once this keg is gone, it’s gone for good! Woody’s will also have 25 cent wings and $3.50 flights for us Beer Burglars.
